Everyone has an origin story.....

Mine starts in the summer of 1977 sitting in a dark theater watching Star Wars for the first, and second, time in my life.  When I came home that day I knew what I wanted to do without knowing how I was going to do it.

After a fairly winding path of a couple decades I have an Occupational Associates Degree in Digital Animation and Visual Effects focusing in Lightwave 3D and Adobe products, as well as an A.A.S. and a B.A.S. specializing in Virtual Reality Development.

My work in the industry began in 2006 as a jr. vfx artist on  Battlestar Galactica, Bionic Woman, and Virtuality. What has followed includes projects such as Queen Latifah's "Fast Car" music video, the new "V" series, Nickelodeon's "Best Player", "human Target", CSI, and several commercials.

After 6 years as a 3D artist I starting working for Dan Curry as a visual effects artist and compositor.  I formed a quick friendship with him and he became my Mentor in visual effects and cinematography.

During my 7 years working with Dan I did on set supervision and visual effects compositing at Warner brothers Television on NBC's "Chuck", created new sequences and updated existing elements for the second season of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" on Blu-Ray, we worked together with Rockne O'Bannon as on his series "Cult", then on Ron Howard's "Clan of the Cave Bear" in Cape Town, South Africa.

Most recently I am the VFX Supervisor on set for "The 100" series on the CW which we shoot in beautiful British Columbia.

“The best visual effect is the one that no one notices.”

“Nothing looks more real than real.”
